As the Controller, you will spearhead the management of primary Business Office functions, institutional accounting, and day-to-day oversight of key finance, banking, and risk management areas. Reporting directly to the Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, this position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership in the Business Office: Provide leadership to the Business Office, ensuring the consistent application of policies and procedures. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains through process improvement and technology integration.
• Financial Management: Maintain institutional accounting systems and oversee budget development and administration in compliance with GAAP. Lead external financial audit processes and prepare routine and ad hoc financial reports.
• Cash Management and Banking: Manage day-to-day cash management processes and serve as a key liaison with banking and insurance relationships. Ensure the safety of assets and maximize yield.
• Liaison and Consultation: Serve as the primary liaison between the Business Office and other departments, providing consultative assistance in financial matters.
• Endowment Management and Benefits Administration: Lead endowment activities and coordinate with HR to manage health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Management.
• 5+ years of related experience, with preferred experience in leadership and managerial roles within a private higher education setting.
• Strong proficiency in technology, communication, data management, and process management.
• Masters degree preferred.
• A working knowledge of the "Uniform Guidance" found at 2 CFR 200 is preferred.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000, commensurate with education and experience.
