Job Description
PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The Document Controller will be responsible for overseeing all project-related documents, acting as a central point for organizing, storing, and distributing crucial information like blueprints, permits, and reports to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and project compliance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Overseeing the system for managing all physical and digital construction documents
- Structuring and organizing documents like contracts, drawings, specifications, and test reports in a centralized, accessible repository
- Implementing systems to ensure that only the latest, most accurate versions of documents are in use, preventing miscommunication and errors
- Ensuring all document management practices comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Maintaining document security and implementing access controls to protect sensitive project information
- Managing the archiving of completed job folders and customer data for future reference and audits
- Takes part in and/or leads special projects as needed
- Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned
