Job Description
DEPARTMENT: Mathematics Enrichment Center - Academic Enrichment & Retention
SUPERVISED BY: Director, Mathematics Enrichment Center
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Coordinate and provide services, concentrated on students with academic need, in the Mathematics Enrichment Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Coordinate and provide quantitative support to students, especially those with academic need, consistent with the Seton Hill University Mission Statement.
- Support the implementation of ALEKS PPL, which includes communication with students, collection and management of data, and content support for underprepared students.
- Support the administrative duties related to academic services offered by the Mathematics Enrichment Center.
- Coordinate quantitative enrichment opportunities with the Director.
- Promote the services of the Mathematics Enrichment Center.
- Compile and maintain required records, statistics, and reports.
- Participate in professional development.
- Provide support for the Summer Bridge Program.
- Refer students to university or community resource persons for their individual, personal, or academic needs.
- Interact with faculty and staff, as needed, to facilitate services.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Math or quantitative skills
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Travel within the University community
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A degree in Mathematics, Secondary Education (Math, Business, etc.), or related quantitative/business/STEM fields
- Experience with academic support or tutoring at the high school or college level
- Proficiency in the MAC operating system
