Job Summary/Basic Function
About the position: The Coordinator for the Campus Recreation at Millersville University is a full-time 12-month SCUPA employee. This position reports directly to the Director of Campus Recreation. The main responsibility of this position is to assist the Director of Campus Recreation in the operation of the Campus Recreation Department through the following activities.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Three years of work experience in higher education, outdoor pursuits, recreation, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience working in and creating an inclusive environment focused on excellent customer service and community building.
- Demonstrated understanding of equity, and inclusion.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Demonstrate competence in training and supervision of multiple part-time staff and/or interns.
- Possess and maintain American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric CPR/FA/AED or obtain one within four weeks of start date.
- Ability to work varied hours including evenings and weekends.
- Commitment to inclusive practices and working with diverse student populations.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Successful interview.
- Successful completion of three background checks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in related field.
- Demonstrate competence in training and supervision of multiple part-time staff and/or interns in a recreation, fitness, or sport environment.
- Active involvement in campus recreation and/or higher education professional organizations.
- Experience as a PIAA Official and/or an assigner of Sport Officials.
- Previous experience in training, supervising, and leading a cohesive team.
- Previous rental center operations experience.
- Prior experience using different systems (Banner, IMLeagues.com, D2L, Get Involved, DSE, Social Media Platforms).
- Top Rope Climbing certification through AMGA or PCIA or the ability to obtain one within one year of hire.
- Association for Challenge Course Technology level 2 certification or the ability to obtain one within one year of hire.
- Leave No Trace certification or the ability to obtain one within one year of hire.

This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the SCUPA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Ability to work on campus. Valid driver's license. Days Worked: Monday - Friday/including weekends. Hours/Shift worked: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. /ability to work varied hours including evenings
