Coordinator of Facilities Department – College Wide
Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Coordinator of Facilities Department position. The Coordinator of Facilities will be responsible for coordinating the optimal working environment for the entire facilities division by providing maintenance and support services to appropriate areas. Equally as important, the position will follow tasks such as purchasing and payroll from beginning through completion. The position will make certain that companies receive the purchase order and then follow through to completion of the job, or verification that the items were received. The Coordinator will be responsible for dispatching employees effectively for routine emergency calls received for the department. The Coordinator supports the Maintenance, Capital Projects, Custodial, and Grounds operations at both campuses.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Education/Training/Work Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree in related field preferred.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience required; facilities experience preferred.
- Exhibits sound judgement and the ability to think quickly during emergencies.
- Excellent administrative, oral, and written and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in coordinating multi-calendars.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Internet, email, database, spreadsheet, word processing and presentation experience.
