Coordinator of Student Engagement and Programs- Programming

The Center for Inclusion and Cross Cultural Engagement (CICCE) supports student success by cultivating a welcoming campus community where all students can thrive. Role Summary
Plans and coordinates day-to-day fiscal, administrative, and operational activities of a defined program or set of funded activities. Programs are usually focused to a single purpose, may be scientific, research, educational, or service oriented, and may exist as a subset of an integrated funded program activity. Duties typically include assisting with grant planning and administration, fiscal, budgetary, and/or other associated transactions, program implementation and administration, internal and external operational/administrative liaison, program marketing, and reporting.

  • Develops, coordinates, promotes, and evaluates assigned programs and projects.
  • Co-advises student organizations and serves as a liaison between student organizations and administration.
  • Coordinates assessment and evaluation of programs and services.
  • Assists in the development, implementation, and assessment of departmental goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.

Examples of Work Performed

  • Assists the Center for Inclusion and Cross Cultural Engagement (CICCE) in the development and coordination of CICCE programs and services that aid in supporting student success/student retention.
  • Coordinates cross-cultural engagement opportunities among the campus community and organizes the All-In All Year Calendar.
  • Supports and directly engages with CICCE student employees to ensure their success.
  • Works with a wide variety of campus constituents to assess programmatic needs that support the CICCE mission.
  • Develops partnerships with departments and organizations campus-wide to support student programming and leadership development.
  • Provides advisory support and programming resources to student organizations and leadership teams.
  • Coordinates the development of newsletters, brochures, social media, advertisements, handbooks, and other informational materials.
  • Design materials to promote and encourage student participation and involvement in programming.
  • Creates assessment tools for the evaluation of programs and services, assesses programs, and utilizes information to enhance or develop new initiatives.
  • Assists in overseeing and supporting the CICCE Student Advisory Council.
  • Represents the CICCE and the university on various committees, boards, and associations.

Essential Functions

  • Provides specialized support in the development, implementation, and marketing of program function.
  • Serves as a central point of contact between students, faculty, staff, other departments, and/or external constituencies on day-to-day programmatic, operational, and administrative matters; assists with seminars, meetings, special projects, and/or general problem resolution.
  • Coordinates activities of support staff, consultants, faculty, and/or volunteers engaged in implementation and administration of program objectives.
  • Monitors and administers program/project revenues and expenses; may develop or participate in the development of funding proposals for the program.
  • Writes, edits, and coordinates development of course catalogs, promotional materials, educational materials, training manuals, newsletters, and/or brochures, as appropriate to the program.
  • Maintains program/project records, researches information and gathers and computes various data; prepares special and/or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant data from a variety of sources.

Minimum Education/Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: Three Years Experience

Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of One year of higher education experience related to the above-described duties.
