Job Description
Responsible for providing assistance in the coordination of student programs as well as assisting student throughout the process.
Job Duties
- Foster the development of new SIA programs and coordinate existing programs, while working with TXST faculty on the program development and reviewing their faculty program applications each year.
- Maintain the SIA website, including individual SIA program listings.
- Review and revise each SIA program budget and based on the budget, recommend the specific program fee for each program.
- Document program income/expenses and ensure SIA programs remain operating within budget.
- Coordinate the logistics of the SIA programs, which can include, but not limited to: booking reservations, coordinating with external program providers, reviewing vendor agreements, process payroll for SIA faculty and program assistants, and processing travel for SIA faculty and program assistants.
- Prepare the SIA courses in the schedule of classes, ensuring extension tuition and fees and program fees are accurately assessed for each course, while also being available to assist Education Abroad with the schedule of classes.
- Process student applications for SIA programs, while monitoring enrollment to recommend cancellation of programs as needed for under-enrolled/over-budget programs. This includes corresponding with students on questions about programs, as needed.
- Assist in the Risk Management of SIA programs, which can include but not limited to, reporting Clery Act compliance, revising risk mitigation processes and procedures, assembling safety information packets, and acting as a point of contact for emergency situations.
- Organize the marketing for SIA programs, while also attending in-person events, such as student orientation meetings, Bobcat Days, the SIA fair, student presentations, etc.
- Coordinate the SIA Scholarship fund and award process.
- Answering emails in the SIA Inbox.
- Oversee a Part-Time Operations Assistant.
- Keep up-to-date standard operating procedures for the SIA unit.
