Compensation Details: Starting Pay - $70,400; Commensurate with education and experience

Work Hours: Fall/Spring: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Summer: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 6pm. Two Saturdays on Fall and Spring. Might require evening for event/initiative coverage.

Remote Eligible: This position is not eligible for remote work

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for supporting institutional efforts to improve student retention, academic progression, transfer readiness, and degree completion by guiding students through the transfer planning process and strengthening partnerships with four-year institutions. This role coordinates transfer-focused programming, provides individualized transfer guidance, and collaborates across campus units to ensure students have clear academic and career pathways aligned with transfer goals.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Performance Requirements

  • Supports the daily operations of the Transfer Center and coordinates comprehensive transfer success initiatives designed to promote student persistence, timely progression, and successful transfer outcomes
  • Assists students in developing clear and intentional transfer plans aligned with their academic programs, career goals, and target transfer institutions
  • Guides students in understanding university admissions requirements, program prerequisites, articulation agreements, and transfer equivalencies to ensure efficient credit transfer and minimize excess credit accumulation
  • Provides individualized support to students navigating the transfer process, including transfer applications, institutional deadlines, personal statements, and supporting documentation
  • Connects students with appropriate campus resources, including career advising, career services, financial aid, tutoring, and student support services, to strengthen their overall academic success and readiness for transfer
  • Coordinates and delivers transfer-focused programs and workshops that increase student awareness of transfer opportunities and requirements
  • Delivers presentations, classroom visits, and group workshops designed to educate students about transfer pathways, scholarship opportunities, and strategies for successful transition to four-year institutions
  • Serves as a key liaison between the college and partner universities to support strong transfer partnerships and seamless articulation pathways
  • Provides training and informational resources to advisors, faculty, and staff regarding transfer requirements, articulation agreements, and best practices in transfer advising
  • Monitors and tracks transfer-related metrics, including student engagement, event participation, transfer applications, and institutional transfer rates

Service Excellence

  • Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations
  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
  • Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through the Tarrant County College (TCC) Institute
  • Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

Supervision

Works under periodic supervision of the assigned department leadership

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements, or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Student Affairs, Education, or closely related field
  • At least one (1) year’s working experience working in a college or university setting related to the Essential Performance Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Texas Common Course Numbering System, state transfer frameworks, and university transfer requirements
  • Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
  • Ability to use computer applications and enterprise systems, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
