General Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field. Master's degree preferred; doctoral degree desirable. Five years of experience in a related field. Additional education may be considered in lieu of experience.

Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:

Performs advanced administrative and supervisory program work for the Institute for Forensic Research, Training and Innovation (IFRTI).

Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):

Oversees the Texas Forensic Analyst Apprenticeship Pilot Program (TFAAPP) for the Institute for Forensic Research, Training and Innovation (IFRTI). Oversees the work of assigned program staff including administrative and technical (scientific) personnel. Prepares and reviews reports on the effectiveness of program activities. Prepares program budget requests. Develops and oversees the preparation of and delivery of in-person and online training within the program in accordance with legislatively mandated deliverables. Confers with staff on program issues and problems and implements solutions. Coordinates with SHSU Online, outside agencies, and subject matter experts for on-time program delivery. Plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates program effectiveness. Develops and recommends program guidelines. Performs other related duties as assigned.
