Job Overview
The School of Education is seeking a Project Coordinator to manage a National Institutes of Health multi-year grant. The project coordinator position is a hybrid, 12-month, 30 hour per week, 75% FTE, unique opportunity to collaborate with researchers, UC graduate assistants and teachers, administrators, and youth in high schools.
This position is supported by grant funding with a start date July 1, 2026 and end date June 30, 2027 with the possibility to renew annually for up to three years.
Essential Functions
- Communicating with school personnel, research team members, and community partners
- Supporting curriculum design and high school teaching
- Supporting IRB and human subject activities
- Maintaining and organizing records and documentation related to program implementation
- Coordinating meetings and major project activities and events
- Other duties as assigned
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, sociology, communications, or related field.
- Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement
Required Experience
- 1 year of practical experience working with youth in a school or community setting is required.
Preferred Qualifications Considered
- Advanced degree or graduate-level coursework
- Experience with curriculum design
- Experience managing a research project
- Highly organized
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledgeable about research principles, design, and strategies
- Knowledgeable about Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR)
- Leadership experience
