Counselling Psychologist

The Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU) is seeking high-calibre candidates to join the Mrs Dorothy Koo and Dr Ti-Hua Koo Centre for Interdisciplinary Evidence-based Practice and Research. The Centre hosts a community project that aspires to strengthen the social-emotional capabilities of students and their parents, teachers, social workers, and the public. The project incorporates gamification elements into social-emotional learning programmes for Primary 3 and 4 students.

Responsibilities:

• Design integrative and gamified emotional learning materials tailored social emotional learning

• Provide consultation services to students, parents, and teachers participating in the project

• Deliver outreach psycho-educational/consultation service to schools

• Assist in conducting research-related tasks, including data collection, analysis and report writing etc.

• Assist in the development and execution of publicity events related

• Assist in drafting progress reports and evaluation studies as required by project manager

• Any other responsibilities as assigned by the Centre Directors

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and Registered Counselling Psychologist of the “Hong Kong Psychological Society” preferred

• Three years or above of counselling experience in an educational or related setting

• Proficiency in SPSS, along with experience in both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese
