Salary from £53,949 to £62,160 (pro rata) pa inclusive with potential to progress to £69,073 (pro rata) pa inclusive of London allowance.

This is a part time appointment for 21 hours per week.

The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is one of the foremost social science universities in the world, with a global reach and an international student intake. Student Wellbeing is central to the student experience: we aim to ensure that every student feels that they belong to a welcoming, inclusive, supportive, caring, scholarly community.

The Student Wellbeing Service is looking to recruit a fully qualified, accredited and experienced counsellor to offer short-term individual counselling.

Candidates will have significant, demonstrable experience of providing short-term solution focussed counselling and be skilled in working with a range of clients from diverse backgrounds, as well as with a variety of presenting issues.

Candidates must meet the essential criteria listed in the person specification and have full BACP/UKCP/BPS/NCPS accreditation/registration. Applicants who do not meet the requirements for professional accreditation/registration will not be considered for this post.

The post holder must be able to work Mondays and Thursdays plus another additional day.

This position will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Any offer of employment made is conditional on receipt of a satisfactory DBS check.
