Counselor, Part-time Adjunct Pool (Bilingual Student Support) (IWV)

Basic Function

Kern Community College District accepts applications for part-time, hourly faculty pools on a continuous basis. The starting salary range is $60.00/hour.

Representative Duties

The Adjunct Bilingual Student Support Counselor will provide academic advising and support to Spanish-speaking students and dual language learners. The adjunct counselor has a primary focus on helping students navigate college processes, one-on-one and group counseling, and providing education planning and career guidance services. Bilingual applicants in Spanish and English are desired.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, career development, marriage and family therapy, or marriage, family, and child counseling, OR the equivalent. AND demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
