About the Role
The Course Advisor supports prospective and current domestic students seeking course transfers, providing accurate advice across all service channels. Working under general supervision, the role contributes to recruitment, conversion, and reengagement activities to meet University targets. The Course Advisor also assists with entry requirements and pathways into enabling, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs through both inbound and outbound engagement.
Some of the key responsibilities of the Course Advisor position include:
- Providing a customer-centred response service for all inbound and outbound interactions with prospective and current students, specifically those wishing to transfer courses. These interactions occur through the following channels:
- Telephone (Both Inbound & Outbound)
- Email (Case enquiries)
- Live and social chat media channels
- In-person Recruitment Events (such as Open days)
- Other service channels as needed.
- Building and maintaining knowledge of the University’s course offerings for specialist queries.
- Operating in accordance with the University’s Admissions Policy and Procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a reliable and adaptable team player who can adapt within a new and growing team. You will have great interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to provide engaging support and create positive outcomes to enquiries. You will approach work productively and cooperatively, be a problem-solver and look to grow and improve service standards and processes within the Student Recruitment Team.
As the Course Advisor, you will also demonstrate:
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity.
- Experience in a busy front-line customer-centred service environment with demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding service to clients.
- Experience in the provision of information on courses, application processes, policies, and procedures to prospective and current students.
