Job Summary:

The University of Colorado School of Medicine (CUSOM), Office of Medical Education is seeking a part-time (0.2 FTE) open rank faculty member to serve as the Course Director - Reproductive System & Life Cycle on the Office of Undergraduate Medical Education - Pre-Clerkship team.

Course directors are critical leaders in the education of medical students... Responsibilities include course administration, curriculum development & execution, program innovation, assessment development, curriculum review, and student support, as well as course faculty recruitment, support, and development.

Over the course of the year the time commitment... about 8 hours per week. However... heavily weighted... (~20-30hrs/week).

Supervision Received: The position will report to the Associate Dean, Pre-Clerkship Curriculum

Supervision Exercised: Assistant Course Director, Reproductive System & Life Cycle

Key Responsibilities:

• Administration: Assume responsibility for course's orientation... Ensure syllabi... Serve as a resource...
• Curriculum Execution and Program Innovation: Provide oversight... Ensure all teaching faculty...
• Curriculum Review, Continuous Quality Improvement, and Accreditation: Track, monitor... Provide and present course reports...
• Student Assessment, Support & Remediation: Set clear expectations... Identify students...
• Faculty Development & Collaboration: Recruit, mentor... Collaborate with Course...

Work Location: Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule as needed for teaching and in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Open rank... Terminal degree (PhD, MD or DO)... Experience in healthcare professions education, pedagogy, and medical education assessment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Available for preferred start date: January 19, 2026
• Experience in directing or coordinating pre-clerkship medical school courses...
• Available to be present... Familiarity with LCME... Experience with simulation...
