CRUK CC Programme Manager Astra Zeneca (Fixed Term)

The Department of Oncology at the University of Cambridge is seeking an ambitious and results-driven Programme Manager to join our team on a fixed-term basis until August 2027, starting as soon as possible.

This is a unique opportunity to lead and deliver high-profile projects across a collaborative network of universities, hospitals, and industry partners, while further developing your project management expertise. You will work closely with academic, clinical, and industry teams, contributing to initiatives that have a real impact on cancer research and care.

You will have the exciting opportunity to work closely with AstraZeneca through the Partners of Choice framework, contributing to high-impact collaborative research projects and clinical trials within a global oncology network.

You will collaborate with the Cancer Research UK (CRUK) Cambridge Centre Programme Managers Team, part of a partnership between Cancer Research UK, the University of Cambridge, and Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The Centre unites over 1,200 scientists, clinicians, and industry partners in its mission to end death and disease caused by cancer through research, treatment, and education. More information is available at www.crukcambridgecentre.org.uk.

The successful candidate will coordinate activities, communications, and reporting, and contribute to the Centre’s Communications and Engagement activities to amplify its impact. You will oversee project progress, manage timelines and deliverables, and help identify solutions to challenges, ensuring that projects are delivered effectively and efficiently. We are looking for a proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented professional with excellent organisational and communication and stakeholder management skills. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative, supportive environment, engaging with leading researchers and industry partners, and contributing directly to initiatives that advance scientific research and innovation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional, particularly someone early in their project management career, looking to gain hands-on experience and grow their career in a high-impact research environment.

Please direct any informal enquiries to Evis Carcani by email at ec744@cam.ac.uk.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 August 2027 in the first instance.
