Curriculum Developer
Job Description
Job Summary
Develops curricula, documents educational and career and technical courses and processes.
Maintain curriculum for assigned program, course descriptions, and other relevant instructional pages and annually produce updated program degree plans.
Assist in writing, editing program materials, and compiling special projects.
Essential Functions
- Provide assistance to councils and committees involved in the development of new curriculum and revisions of existing curriculum via various communication channels.
- Stay informed of industry needs and trends to ensure alignment of curriculum with area needs.
- May assist with degree audit as necessary.
- Develop and maintain manuals and handbooks detailing required format, procedures, and timelines as resource information.
- Monitor curricula requests for new programs or program revisions for accuracy; submit all program information, including local needs and special topics courses to the assigned agency.
- Participate in the development and evaluation of new curriculum.
- Conduct research and consult with faculty, staff, organizational leadership, and business representatives in the design and development of new curriculum.
- Coordinate the review/assessment of current curriculum to ensure that course/program is meeting intended objectives and funding agencies, d accreditation requirements.
- Monitor Program/Course descriptions and program files electronically for currency and coordinates information with PeopleSoft.
- Submit all program additions, deletions and revisions electronically to PeopleSoft utilizing correct format.
- Assist in preparing instructional materials for the College and proofread/prepare course descriptions and degree plans for assigned area.
- Use web applications and appropriate technology to perform all of the above tasks.
- Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associates degree required in a related field
- 3 years of related work experience required
Licensing & Certification
- Valid Texas Driver License

Working Conditions
General Office. Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations; remain in a stationary position during shift; move items weighing up to 25 pounds; position self to operate job equipment; apply established protocols in a timely manner. Must access, input and retrieve information from technology devices; communicate with others to accomplish job requirements. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
