"Custodian Group Leader - Housing"

Position Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Custodian Group Leader – Housing for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O).

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Guides, leads and instructs a group of custodians.
• Maintains and distributes supplies and equipment.
• Fills in during foreperson's absence.

Minimum Education and Experience

• Two years experience in custodial work.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and read, write and speak English.

Equipment Utilized

• Needs to be proficient in operating floor machines, shampooers and vacuums.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds while climbing stairs.

Special Conditions

• Shift hours/Schedule: Wednesday- Sunday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM weekdays, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM weekends
• Clean driving Record
