Description

Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for our Custodian positions in the Custodial and Support Services Department.

Employment Type: Full-time (1.0 FTE), Non-exempt (Hourly), Benefits-Eligible

Shift: Monday - Friday, 5am-1pm

Wage Range: $15.00-$16.50

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Properly cleans and maintains multiple areas on campus, as assigned
• Shampooing carpets, waxing floors, polishing glass, emptying trash, recycling, compost
• Maintaining floors, cleaning wood, linoleum, tile, and other flooring types
• Report's maintenance concerns via work order request to appropriate personnel
• Collaborates with other CSS staff, leads, and supervisors to complete daily tasks

Prerequisites

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours per day
• Previous experience in cleaning and/or custodial services
• Must be a self-starter and able to produce work with minimum supervision
• Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships
• Strong communication skills and positive demeanor
