Salary: $23.44 per hour
Position Description
This is a union position that provides custodial services for university residence halls. This position is represented by Seattle/King County Building & Construction Trades Council.
Duties Include
- Vacuuming, dusting, washing walls, mirrors, and windows.
- Collect and dispose of garbage.
- Marginal Job Functions Provide floor care including sweeping, scrubbing, stripping, sealing, and waxing. Shampoo carpets, and furniture.
- Set up chairs, tables, and stages for auditorium events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to work the stated hours/days.
- Ability to understand instructions given in the English language.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Ability to lift or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job will also be considered.
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Working Conditions
- Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- May require flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays.
- Use of cleaning equipment, ladders, and other tools as needed.
