Summary:
Are you interested in furthering your career at the leading edge of manufacturing? We have an exciting opportunity for a
Project Engineer to join the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) in Sheffield. You will join a diverse team of Engineers, project managers and operational staff to help deliver innovative manufacturing research, concentrating on project activities related to data science.
Based in the AMRC’s flagship Factory 2050 facility, you will be employed by the University of Sheffield and will hold a key role in furthering and improving the use of data in UK manufacturing by working closely with key collaborators in the UK and internationally.
We are looking for someone with experience in applications of data science methods, maybe in an industrial context, and who isn’t afraid of challenging “the norm”. You might have been working in a related role already or maybe recently completed a degree in a relevant field. What is crucial is the desire to seek solutions to challenging problems, drive the adoption of new technologies within the manufacturing sector, and help UK manufacturing realise the potential opportunities with data.
As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to present your work, or further your knowledge, through attendance at
national and international events. The AMRC supports professional development, including chartership and training relevant to your role.

This role is supported by AI Futures Grants, a UK Government scheme designed to help the next generation of AI leaders meet the costs of relocating to the UK.
