Data Dialogue and Visualization Postdoctoral Research Scholar
NC State’s Climate and Sustainability Academy is seeking a dynamic postdoctoral research scholar to lead innovative, data-informed dialogues on landscape and environmental change across North Carolina and beyond. This scholar will work closely with university units and external partners to identify topics, develop engaging data and visualization tools, and facilitate community workshops that support informed decision-making around complex sustainability issues. This position will strengthen NC State University's ability to further its land-grant mission by leveraging on-campus expertise and technology resources to proactively engage community members and decision-makers on complex, scientifically challenging questions.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in a discipline related to data science, climate science, social sciences, marine science, environmental science, policy or planning, community development, natural resources management, or other closely related field. Experience in quantitative modeling and visualization and relevant skills applicable to data and visualization, public speaking, and technical writing.
