Job Description

The College of Health Sciences is one of the fastest growing academic unit in terms of student enrollment at Mizzou and part of the University of Missouri Health System; it houses eight departments and a wide range of impactful clinical operations and community outreach programs, each with distinct strengths in preparing future health care professionals through unique programs, advancing their respective fields through innovative research, and partnering with communities and stakeholders to deliver learning experiences that transform lives.
Reporting directly to the provost, the dean will serve as the chief academic and administrative officer of the College of Health Sciences and lead a community of over 300 faculty and professional staff who together support approximately 4,000 students. Working collaboratively across campus and within the college, the dean will champion a culture of innovation and academic excellence.
Candidates must have an earned doctorate or equivalent in a relevant field with a record in research and education commensurate with the appointment to the rank of full professor with tenure in the College of Health Sciences. Additionally, candidates must possess at least five years of administrative leadership experience in a research-focused institution of higher education.
