Job Summary:
The Program Coordinator will collaborate with the Vice Chair of Education and the Vice Chair of Faculty Development and their leadership team. The position will spend 50% of their time being responsible for programming and coordinating all aspects of educational activities run by the Vice Chair of Education in the Department of Medicine. The other 50% of time will support faculty development leadership team and programs under the Vice Chair of Faculty Development.
This position will also act as the first point-of-contact for program inquiries for the Vice Chair of Education and the Vice Chair of Faculty Development and their leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate weekly Department of Medicine Grand Rounds, including the speaker nomination process, scheduling of speakers and visiting professors, visiting professor travel arrangements and expense reimbursements, space and food coordination.
- Coordinate Faculty Education Series, including scheduling of speakers (all internal to CU) and space for events.
- Budget tracking for Grand Rounds and PACE.
- Manage Continuing Medical Education and Maintenance of Certification for DOM education-related activities.
- Coordinate the planning and execution of faculty development and mentorship initiatives, supporting professional growth and continuous learning.
- Manage event planning logistics for Faculty Development and Mentorship programs from pre-event (scheduling, reserving space, coordinating, organizing program materials, sending pre-program communication) to on-site support if applicable (set-up, catering, break-down, debrief) and post-event (follow-up communications, surveys).
- Prepare and send surveys for faculty development and mentorship programs. Analyze data to show impact and outcomes of programs.
Work Location:
Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 4 days per week on the CU Anschutz Campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Entry Level:
- Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
Intermediate Level:
- Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- One (1) year of professional level experience in an administrative or program support setting.
Senior Level:
- Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- Two (2) year of professional level experience in an administrative or program support setting.
- A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) or more years of experience in a program/event coordinator role for a higher education institution.
- Experience in business administration with an emphasis on relationship development, process implementation, and process improvement.

- Intermediate Level: $56,995 - $76,374
