Departmental Coordinator
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to become a key member of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics as our new Departmental Coordinator.
In this pivotal administrative role, you will work closely with the Head of Department to ensure the smooth and efficient running of departmental operations. You'll play a central part in supporting our teaching programmes, managing communications, and coordinating essential processes that help to shape the experience of both colleagues and students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Department
- Preparing budgets and monitoring departmental expenditure
- Managing the Department's website, Moodle pages, and communications
- Administering the undergraduate teaching programme
- Coordinating assessment and examination processes
- Organising Departmental meetings and serving as secretary to key committees

We're seeking a proactive, well-organised, and collaborative individual with a strong background in academic administration. You'll bring excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to manage a diverse and dynamic workload independently. If you can demonstrate your flexible and solution-focused approach, so much the better.
