"Designated Interpreter, Catonsville & Essex campus - Part Time"

The purpose of this class is to provide professional level interpretation services to assigned department or program. National Certification through the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf and a minimum of three years' experience working as a professional sign language interpreter.

These positions are located on the Catonsville and Essex campuses

1. Serve as designated interpreter to full-time deaf faculty.
2. Interpret at annual college events.
3. Interpret for college courses taught by deaf faculty.
4. Interpret for deaf faculty at committee meetings.
5. Interpret for deaf faculty at ad-hoc meetings.
6. Keep track of all hours and schedule.
7. Team effectively with an agency interpreter when needed.
