About the opportunity
Join the InsideOut Institute for Eating Disorders at the University of Sydney and play a key role in delivering innovative digital solutions that support world-leading research, education and clinical impact in the mental health sector. As a Developer, you will contribute to the design, development and continuous improvement of digital platforms that enhance the Institute's reach, capability and service delivery.
Working under broad direction, you will provide specialist technical expertise across the full software development lifecycle, from architecture and feature development through to deployment and optimisation. You will help shape technical decisions, champion code quality and collaborate with clinicians, researchers and stakeholders to build scalable, secure and user-centred solutions.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Lead the development of software applications and critical system components, ensuring solutions meet project objectives and user needs.
- Collaborate on digital solutions by working closely with clinicians, researchers, product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into impactful digital solutions that support strategic goals.
- Maintain code quality and best practices by writing clean, scalable, and efficient code, implementing testing methodologies, rectifying bugs and errors, and ensuring comprehensive technical documentation for software projects.
- Contribute to the digital transformation roadmap by implementing new technologies and refining existing systems to improve performance, security, and user satisfaction.
