- Base salary range: $95,231 – $100,643 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
Development and Alumni Relations [DAR] oversee the University’s alumni engagement and philanthropic strategy. The function works collaboratively across the University to embed philanthropic and alumni engagement activity into the University’s operations. The core responsibility of the team is to lead and build on the University’s alumni and community relations and secure philanthropic support for the University.
About the opportunity
- Drive fundraising success by working collaboratively to assist with fundraising for University-wide priorities, specifically identifying prospects and securing major gifts of $25,000 and higher.
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospects, supporting the full donor lifecycle—identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
- Partner with colleagues across the University to establish scholarships and other gifts and ensure donors are appropriately acknowledged through effective liaison with Donor Relations and academic staff.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience) with proven fundraising experience in a comparable setting.
- Strong relationship-builder who can engage volunteers, alumni, donors and staff—and, where appropriate, secure donations.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and donor communications.
- Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, work independently and collaborate as part of a team.
- Proficient with MS Office and CRM systems (REX or Raiser’s Edge preferred), including experience in prospect tracking and reporting.
