The Royal College of Music (RCM) is seeking a Digital Heritage & Technology Officer for its Museum. This permanent, part-time role (0.8 FTE, 28 hours per week) is based in London and offers a salary of £34,350 to £37,968 per annum, pro-rata.
The role involves maintaining and expanding digital engagement, preservation, and resources for the RCM Museum, which manages a collection of approximately 14,000 objects. Responsibilities include overseeing Collection Management and Digital Asset Management Software, digitizing collections, updating records, and strengthening the Museum's online catalogue. The officer will deliver the Museum's digital strategy and digitization plan, create new digital content, and explore innovations like 3D modeling.
Key attributes required: a strong interest in music and musical heritage; qualifications or experience in Digital Humanities or Heritage; experience in managing digital assets and systems; ability to work in multidisciplinary teams; excellent organizational and communication skills; and a commitment to diversity.
