Department: Alumni Relations
Salary: Commensurate with Experience/Education
Description: Responsible for the operations of a large program or center at the university. Oversees staff, budgets, and projects.
Experience: Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
Certification/Licensing: None.
- Oversees a large department, program or center.
- Manages budget and engages in strategic planning to ensure all goals are met.
- Hires and directs the activities of staff.
- Resolves personnel issues as they arise.
- Engages in budget-planning, grant oversight, and policy development.
- Implements new programs and projects and monitors ongoing activities of department or center.
- Reviews department policies and processes and implements improvements as needed.
- Represents department or center to internal and external constituents.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.

- Support the design and delivery of programs that engage alumni through affiliated networks and associations.
- Collaborate with Alumni Relations, Division and University colleagues to plan, promote, and execute programs and events that build alumni connection and participation.
- Cultivate and support alumni volunteers and affinity network leaders, providing guidance, communication, and tools for effective engagement.
- Assist in developing communications, storytelling, and outreach materials that promote affinity network activities and highlight alumni engagement and impact.
- Contribute to event logistics, vendor coordination, budgeting, and post-event reporting.
- Maintain accurate records of alumni and volunteer engagement, participation data, and event outcomes, while tracking metrics, collecting feedback, and collaborating with campus partners to assess program effectiveness and ensure alignment with broader university and alumni relations goals.
- Represent, support, and/or participate in other events and programming as needed.
- Knowledge of alumni engagement, volunteer management, and event planning best practices.
- Strong relationship building skills and ability to collaborate effectively with alumni, volunteers, and partners from various backgrounds.
- Demonstrated skill in planning and delivering engaging programs and events that foster community and belonging.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management abilities with attention to detail and follow through.
- Department is willing to accept education in lieu of experience.
