As the Director, Entrepreneurship & Management Programs at Seed, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the learning journey of entrepreneurs and business leaders across Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia and Indonesia. You will be responsible for the overall design and delivery of Seed's educational programs, ensuring a high-quality and cutting-edge learning experience that empowers participants to drive economic growth and innovation in their respective regions. The Director, Entrepreneurship & Management Programs reports to the Executive Director, and is a member of Seed's Senior Staff. They will directly manage a team of eight, and work with Seed's regional offices in Ghana, Kenya, India, and Indonesia.

This is a full-time hybrid role that requires regular, on-site work in Seed's offices at the Stanford GSB campus, with a minimum of at least two days per week, on average.

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Curriculum / Learning Experience Design and Delivery
• Working with Stanford GSB faculty, lead the overall strategic design and development of curriculum for Seed education programs, including the Seed Transformation Program (STP), Seed Spark, and, working in collaboration with the African Management Institute, support the further development of the Aspire Business Growth Programme.
• Refine and update learning outcomes for these programs and ensure the alignment of curriculum with the specific and evolving needs and challenges faced by established businesses, early-stage startups, and small growing companies in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
• Harness cutting-edge delivery methods, including AI tools, to craft programming that is effective, engaging, and highly efficient.
• Working with Seed's regional teams, tailor a portion of curriculum content to the specific challenges, cultural nuances, and business landscapes of Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and Indonesia. For e.g., region-specific case studies and examples which make the learning experience relevant and relatable.
• In collaboration with the STP team, Business Transformation Advisers and the Director of Evaluation and Learning, assess the impact and efficacy of curriculum components and delivery through participant feedback and performance metrics.
• Support continuous learning for the Seed Transformation Network (graduates of the STP).
• In collaboration with the Network team, source, prepare and guide GSB faculty during interactions with the Network, including Global Summits, day-long workshops, webinars, etc.
• Teaching Materials and Resources
• Identify and curate a diverse range of teaching materials, including tools, models, case studies, and real-world examples to enhance program content.
• Collaborate with internal teams, Stanford faculty, and global experts to develop relevant and engaging teaching resources.
• Update and refine materials to reflect the evolving landscape of entrepreneurship and business in emerging economies, to exploit new opportunities, and to ensure program relevance and value.
• Faculty and Expert Network
• Establish and nurture relationships with Stanford faculty members, industry experts, and global thought leaders who can contribute to program delivery.
• Work closely with the faculty and experts to align their expertise with program objectives and facilitate impactful learning experiences.
• Negotiate and secure teaching commitments for Seed programs.

• Team Leadership and Management
• Lead and manage a team of indirect and direct reports responsible for Seed's education programs.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members to ensure the successful implementation of program initiatives.
• Collaborate with and indirectly manage key global staff involved in delivering Seed programs, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to program goals.
• Empower team members to take ownership of their projects and initiatives, fostering a sense of accountability and autonomy.
• Participate in Seed's Senior Staff team charged with overall leadership of the organization, including strategy and budget formulation. Manage a budget for your team.

To be successful in this position, you will bring:

• Advanced degree and five years of relevant experience in an area of specialization or combination of relevant education, training, and/or experience.
• Extensive experience in curriculum design, educational program development, and educational technology. Being conversant with AI for education is a plus.
• Deep understanding of entrepreneurship, business strategy, and economic development in emerging economies.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with faculty, experts, and industry stakeholders.
• Ability to manage budgets and develop financial plans.
• Experience developing program partnerships and funding sources.
• Advanced communication (verbal and written), and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership, people management, and mentoring skills, with the ability to oversee and direct staff in cross-functional and international teams.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in international contexts or working with diverse cultural backgrounds is preferred.

The expected pay range for this position is $139,741 to $179,496 per year.
