Position Summary

The Director of the Accessibility & Testing position
entails significant responsibilities for the promotion of learning through the management of personnel and facilities relative to providing
equal educational opportunities. This position reports to the Associate Vice President for Student Well-Being. The Director advocates to
ensure a welcoming academic, physical, and social environment for students with disabilities according to the guidelines of the Americans
with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Additionally, this position supervises the operations of University
and Community Testing Services, overseeing all personnel and resources. The Director establishes policy and procedures to ensure effective
and efficient delivery of services to students, while maintaining test security and meeting revenue goals. This position develops and
monitors budgets for all units supervised, including drafting budget proposals for all units based on historical spending, projected student
enrollment, and actual student enrollment. The Director supervises seven direct reports.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree in Education, Social Work, Public Administration, Psychology, or similar field.
• Five to seven years of
  progressively responsible leadership experience in disability-related work, preferably within higher education or another complex
  organization.
• Experience using assessment, analytics, and data to inform organizational decision making.

Duties/Responsibilities

(60%) Unit Leadership and Staff Supervision:

• Lead the development and
  implementation of the mission, vision, and strategic plans for Accessibility and Testing, aligning with the goals of UGA and the Division of
  Student Affairs.
• Supervise the Associate Director of Accommodations, Associate Director of Disability Resources and Outreach, Sr.
  Assistant Director of Accommodated Testing, Sr. Assistant Director of University and Community Testing, Sr. Assistant Director for Deaf and
  Hard of Hearing Services, IT Manager, and Sr. Administrative Manager, fostering professional growth and development.
• Collaborate
  with development staff to secure private funding for leadership programs, scholarships, and other initiatives.
• Ensure best practices
  in University and Community Testing Services operations, including test security, integrity, and positive testing environments, while
  managing external contracts for testing services.
• Actively promote and participate in the development, engagement and retention of
  each staff member.
• Lead a senior staff Leadership Team to provide direction throughout the department.
• Maintain small
  caseload of students registered for accommodations, as needed.

(30%) Campus Outreach and Engagement:

• Advocate for accessible academic, physical, and social environments for students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with Americans
  with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
• Represent accessibility on campus committees and external
  groups, building awareness and support for services, including but not limited to the Behavioral Assessment and Response Council, Student
  Support Team, Advisory Group for Facilities Accessibility, and Digital Accessibility Steering Team.
• Actively contribute as a member
  of the Student Affairs Leadership Team and the leadership team for Well-being Resources initiative.
• Develop training initiatives to
  raise awareness of disability related topics, such as Universal Design for Learning and digital accessibility.
• Consult with campus
  partners on access and accessibility issues, including the Office of University Architects, Equal Opportunity Office, Facilities Management
  Division, and the Office of Legal Affairs.
• Serve as co-chair of the Student Support Team.
• Engage with national and state
  organizations, representing UGA in the fields of disability services and testing.

(10%) Budget Oversight:

• Oversee departmental, departmental sales, and auxiliary budgets, ensuring financial compliance with state and federal regulations
  and sustainability.
• Manage revenue-generating initiatives and engage in long-term financial planning to meet departmental goals,
  while ensuring cost-effective delivery of services.
• Maintains knowledge of industry trends regarding costs of services in each area
  supervised.
