Director for the Research Center in Digital Health & Well-Being

The Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) is seeking a Director for its Research Center in Digital Health & Well-Being. The role involves providing scientific and managerial leadership in a collaborative environment focused on proactive, predictive, personalized, and participatory medicine.

Context: FBK is a leading research institute in AI and related fields, emphasizing interdisciplinary research and innovation in health, well-being, and other domains. It aims to address challenges like climate change, demographic shifts, and digitalization through enhanced international connections and social impact.

Goals: The Center focuses on building a multimodal data ecosystem for AI-supported healthcare, including predictive models, large language models, and tools for managing chronic diseases like Parkinson’s and cancer. It prioritizes prevention and well-being, with local and national impact through partnerships like TrentinoSalute4.0.

Job Features: The mission includes developing ICT and AI tools for prevention and chronic disease management. The Center comprises groups in Data Science for Health, Intelligent Digital Agents, Digital Health Research, and a Digital Health Innovation Lab, involving approximately 75 researchers.

Position and Requirements: Candidates must have a strong scientific reputation, managerial skills, and strategic vision. They should oversee research from development to clinical application, with proven experience and a professional network.
