Job Description

The Director of Creative Media / Football will oversee the creation of unique content & branding for the Virginia Tech Football program. This includes designing & generating recruiting visuals, & social content for prospective football student athletes & the Virginia Tech Football program. Working closely with the Senior Director of Football Creative Media, the Director will help conceptualize and execute a strategic communication plan that supports recruiting eGorts and strengthens the program's digital presence. Will demonstrate appropriate knowledge of NCAA rules & regulations pertaining to equipment. Will supervise & train creative media student interns. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Creative Media /Football.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with significant experience, or a master's degree.
• Experience with Adobe products including Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Previous experience working directly in a NCAA Division I recruiting department and managing the day-to-day creative materials.
• Experience organizing and executing photo shoots for prospective student athletes.
• Supervisory experience overseeing interns, students, and volunteers with creating recruiting graphics, videos, and creative materials.
• Functional knowledge of NCAA compliance relative to recruiting materials.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience photographing and/or filming football practices, games, and other events and producing videos through Adobe Premiere Pro and content through Adobe Lightroom.
• Experience in a NCAA Division I Power 4 Football program.

Overtime Status Exempt: Not eligible for overtime

Appointment Type Restricted

Salary Information Commensurate with experience.

Hours per week 40+. Nights and weekends as needed.
