OVERVIEW:

DeSales University, in Center Valley, Pennsylvania, is a Catholic, private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts university. Founded by the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales in 1964, the 550-acre suburban campus is located about 50 miles north of Philadelphia and 90 miles southwest of New York City. POSITION SUMMARY:

Toward a goal of fiscally responsible excellence in mission-fulfilling productions, the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival (PSF) director of production supervises and coordinates all aspects of theatre production, including seasonal production staffing/hiring/scheduling, organizational stewardship of design and execution/build processes, facilities management both on-site and off-site, coordinating with university departments that support PSF operations, production expense tracking and reporting, supporting artistic and education team in fall tour and other off-season programs, scheduling and supervision of seasonal production departments, establishing and enforcing safety protocols, and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two or more years in production leadership position in professional theatre
• Undergraduate degree – or higher (prefer MFA in theatre)
• Attentive to opportunities to promote diversity
• Dedicated to the mission of a small, Catholic, liberal arts institution
