We are seeking a skilled Director of Studies to lead our Director of Studies Office, working with senior management and reporting the Academic Director for Student Success, Continuation and Quality the successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination the overall running of the Director of Studies Office, and all of its associated functions.

You will be responsible for leading a team of student facing advisors who provide support to students on progression and study plans, intermission and exceptional circumstances.

You will manage the complaints and appeals process and liaise with staff both in London and at Core campus, ensuring parity of service with each location. You will provide advice and guidance on our academic regulations to staff and students.

You will attend and contribute to meetings and coordinate incident response and student communication.

The successful candidate will be motivated and motivational, able to lead a team with empathy but also firm direction, and equally carry forward tasks to completion with minimal guidance. You will ensure that the Team delivers an effective and high-quality service, which centres on the student experience.

You must hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent, and have an academic background. You will ideally have been educated to postgraduate level and/or hold a teaching qualification. Working knowledge of HE academic regulations is essential, as is experience of leading a Team.

As with all managers, you will be jointly responsible for ensuring an excellent student experience and may be asked to take on other duties commensurate with the responsibilities and purpose of the post, in this regard.

  • Dependability, reliability and consistent ability to produce high quality, accurate work, requiring close attention to detail.
