Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to providing direction and guidance to staff who serve first-generation, low-income, and/or vulnerable student populations in order to close equity gaps.

In addition, the SU SUCCESS Director develops and oversees early alert and early intervention initiatives, maintains ongoing, proactive, high-touch outreach communication, and serves as a key connector among Enrollment Management & Student Success, Student Affairs, and Academic Affairs—particularly when coordinating and implementing student success strategies for at-risk students.

  3. Prepare and submit comprehensive monthly SU SUCCESS reports detailing the number of students served, demographic information, percentages of first-generation and income-eligible students, and student majors.
  4. Produce detailed semester reports that provide in-depth analysis of student demographics, academic achievement, and areas for program development.
  5. Monitor team progress by analyzing outcomes for students served compared to non-served students.
  6. Oversee and guide the SU SUCCESS team in delivering effective student support services, including identifying barriers to student success and making data-informed recommendations for improvement.
  7. Collaborate with campus stakeholders and student support leaders to ensure the delivery of coordinated holistic student support services.
  8. Leverage existing technologies (e.g., SSC Navigate, Course Scheduler, DegreeWorks) to enhance student support, track engagement, and evaluate overall program effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  8. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  9. Ability to satisfactorily pass a Criminal History Systems Board (CORI) check and a background check acceptable to the University.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Master’s degree preferred.
  2. Familiarity with the TRIO Student Support Services model, including advising, student support practices, and data management and reporting.
  3. Experience working with first-generation, low-income, and/or vulnerable student populations.
