Overview
The Doctor of Pharmacy program at Northeastern University provides the personal attention of a small program backed by the resources and opportunities of a large university. As part of the Bouvé College of Health Sciences, the school embraces an interdisciplinary emphasis that reflects today’s team approach to healthcare. State-of-the-art labs, high-tech classrooms, and affiliations with more than 120 teaching sites provide innovative, interactive learning.
Our students promote and ensure the safe and effective use of drugs; provide medication therapy management services; prepare and dispense prescribed medications; provide patient education; advise healthcare practitioners on medication selection, dosages, interactions, and adverse effects; and monitor patient responses.
Career
Graduates work primarily in community pharmacies or in healthcare facilities but also work in health maintenance organizations, private practice groups, long-term care facilities, home healthcare, the Public Health Service, the armed services, law enforcement agencies, drug development, marketing, research, colleges of pharmacy, and professional association management. In addition, many of our graduates go on to pharmacy practice residencies, fellowships, and leading graduate programs.

You may submit either the Common Application or Coalition Application. All high school transcripts must be sent directly to Northeastern by your high school by the application deadline. The School Report, which is sent by your school counselor, highlights what is offered by your school academically and provides context to the high school transcript. We require one teacher recommendation and one school counselor recommendation. Standardized Test Results (Optional). Test results must be sent directly to Northeastern from the testing agency or examination board.
