Assistant at the Department of Materials Chemistry, Laboratory for Precipitation Processes, working in the field of natural sciences (chemistry) – on the HRZZ project "Horizon Europe Danube4all"; 1 position available.
In addition to the general criteria for employment set out in Article 39, paragraphs 4 and 6 of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- university graduate study programme or university integrated undergraduate and graduate study programme in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Molecular Biology, or Biotechnology,
- an overall grade point average from previous levels of study (undergraduate and graduate, or integrated study) that qualifies the candidate for enrollment in a doctoral study programme in Chemistry,
- an aptitude for experimental work in a biochemistry laboratory,
- active command of English (spoken and written).
Preference will be given to creative candidates with prior knowledge of analytical chemistry, a clearly expressed interest and practical experience in analytical chemistry, microbiology, or molecular biology, and a willingness to participate in demanding field research.
The application for the position of doctoral student should include: a CV, a relevant diploma of completed studies, a supplementary document on studies (undergraduate and graduate, or integrated studies) confirming which exams were passed and with what grade, an e-mail contact of at least one person for recommendation and other evidence of meeting the criteria of the competition.
The employment relationship for the position of assistant is based on a fixed term of 5 years. With a candidate for the position of assistant who has already been employed in the position of assistant, the employment relationship can only be based on the remaining time of up to 5 years, and the candidate is obliged to submit a certificate of employment from the previous employer or previous employment contracts for the position of assistant.
An assistant selected for the associate position of assistant is obliged to enroll in a doctoral study.
The employment relationship for all associate positions is based on a probationary period of 6 months.
A candidate selected for an associate position who has obtained a higher education qualification abroad must, prior to employment, submit an Opinion on the Evaluation of a Foreign Higher Education Qualification issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education.
