Overview
The objectives of the syllabus of the doctoral program in Materials Science and Engineering from Universidade de Aveiro are:
- Provide comprehensive education and scientific training related to installed and emerging technologies, including contributions of areas of high socio-economic importance, such as communications, healthcare, sustainable energy and environment;
- Consolidate the necessary skills relevant at the scale of the international community to develop original research work, independently and in team, these competencies including:
- i) use of advanced experimental techniques of characterization and processing of materials;
- ii) autonomous search of relevant information for research and its integration in solving problems of an interdisciplinary nature;
- iii) treatment of research results with a view to its implementation and dissemination;
- Strengthen skills of analysis and discussion of socio-economic, cultural and ethical consequences of MSE research.
