Position Overview:Brewton-Parker Christian University invites applications for the position of Dual Enrollment Lead – Assistant/Associate Professor of Psychology, beginning Fall 2026. This is a full-time faculty role focused exclusively on teaching and overseeing instruction within BPCU’s rapidly growing Dual Enrollment Program, serving honors, gifted, and accelerated high school students completing university-level coursework.
The Dual Enrollment Lead will:
- Teach university-level psychology courses to advanced high school learners.
- Maintain university-level expectations while providing relational, developmentally appropriate support for high-achieving secondary students.
- Help shape and grow BPCU’s early-college initiatives through innovation, accountability, and mission-driven teaching.
Instruction may occur on local high school campuses, on the BPCU main campus in Mount Vernon, or through online modalities. Travel to partner high schools is expected and reimbursed.
Qualifications:Required
- Master’s degree in Psychology or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the required teaching field or demonstrated equivalent experience, in accordance with SACSCOC credentialing standards.
- Active Christian faith and willingness to integrate biblical perspectives into instruction.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire high-achieving students.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly to partner high schools.
Preferred
- Doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Psychology or a closely related field.
- Experience working with honors, accelerated, or high-aptitude learners.
- Experience teaching in diverse instructional settings (face-to-face, hybrid, and online).
