The candidate will also be expected to supervise undergraduate and graduate students involved in these projects.
The Michigan ATLAS group actively participates in diverse physics analyses - including Higgs, electroweak processes, and searches for new phenomena - as well as the operation of the ATLAS MDT detector and its Phase-I and Phase-II upgrades. We are seeking an exceptional candidate with a proven track record in the development of both particle detectors and high-speed electronics. The start date can be mutually negotiated and can be as early as March 1, 2026. A PhD degree in experimental particle physics or fast electronics design is highly preferred for this position.
