Email Officer
About us:
The Student Marketing and Communications team are responsible for ensuring high-quality and impactful communications with prospective students to support the university’s student recruitment targets.
The Email Officer is responsible for the effective planning, creation and delivery of email campaigns to support the student recruitment journey.
About the role:
The role will work collaboratively across the Global Student Recruitment and Admissions team to ensure email plans and campaigns are aligned to student recruitment, attraction and marketing goals.
You will work proactively with the Student Email Manager and internal stakeholders to implement best practice to enhance email deliverability and engagement rates, identifying opportunity for improving campaign performance and effectiveness.
This is a full time post, and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 08 December 2026.
About you:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related field; and/or proven experience in email marketing and campaign management
- Proven experience utilising email marketing tools and software (e.g., Dynamics 365, Mailchimp, Hubspot)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to create engaging and visually appealing email content.
- Proactive with the ability to take initiative to identify and implement process improvements.

This is a maternity cover position for 12 months. The successful candidate will take over Anne Bullen's responsibilities while Anne is on mat leave for 12 months starting Dec 2025.
The purpose will be to maintain the Student Email team's capacity for the year.
Grade and Salary: £39,076 - £43,909 per annum inclusive of London Weighting Allowance
