About the Opportunity
The United States Studies Centre is in an exciting growth phase with record levels of stakeholder engagement, the largest team in our history, and the highest share of voice among think tanks in Australia.
As the Engagement Officer, you will help deepen, diversify and embed the Centre's relationship with key government and corporate stakeholders and help generate a sustainable revenue pipeline.
You will play an important role in growing and optimising the Centre’s engagement, improving the sustainability of the Centre through diversifying funding sources, and increasing Centre impact through tracking and reporting.
Reporting to the CEO (for corporate engagement) and COO (for government engagement), your key responsibilities will be:
- support the preparation of grant applications and funding proposals for corporate and government stakeholders
- track and manage project deliverables for grants, partnerships and government engagement
- coordinate the Centre's engagement with stakeholders
- support the Senior Management Team to secure new corporate partnerships and opportunities with federal and state government
- maintain the Centre’s use of Salesforce as a source of truth for contacts, grants, partnerships and government engagement
- invite stakeholders to events, briefings, roundtables and conferences
- draft reports to funding bodies of outcomes delivered.
About you
- prior experience in business development or stakeholder relationships management
- project management skills to ensure the Centre delivers on its commitments to external stakeholders
- excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrating strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- excellent attention to detail and initiative
- strong track record of CRM management, preferably Salesforce.
