Salary Range: Up to $92,660/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary
The Enterprise DevOps Engineer designs, administers, and optimizes enterprise service management services with minimal supervision. This role creates automated solutions for operational tasks, streamlines deployment processes, and delivers scalable infrastructure for engineering teams. The incumbent applies ServiceNow best practices, innovations, and capabilities to help customers achieve their objectives. The Enterprise DevOps Engineer manages projects in response to demand and ensures their completion. Understanding technical architecture and customization limits is essential, as is supporting system administrators with tickets and platform upgrades and complies with all state and university policies.
Core Responsibilities
- Champions DevOps principles and promotes effective collaboration across University Technology Services.
- Applies scripting, automation, and infrastructure as code to standardize and streamline deployment, configuration, and management for ServiceNow products.
- Designs and develops automation workflows, tests the workflows, and provides feedback after completion, assessing the overall quality of delivered components.
- Streamlines the ServiceNow development lifecycle by identifying pain points, improving productivity barriers, and determining ways to resolve them.
- Develops automation solutions, empowering teams to build and deploy applications more efficiently through automated tools and scripts.
- Monitors and manages ServiceNow environment performance and service quality. Includes initial troubleshooting, root cause identification, and issue resolution.
- Designs, implements, and administers technology solutions using ServiceNow services (cloud-based tools for IT management). Adheres to security best practices (accepted methods to keep systems safe from threats).
- Documents processes and procedures and proposes improvements.
- Conduct routine audits of cloud and identity environments to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Develops comprehensive, strategic solutions using ServiceNow's application and database layers (software programs and stored data components). Collaborates with other UTS teams (University Technology Services) and UTSA departments.
- Assist with special projects as needed to support team objectives and ensure the timely completion of key initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Five (5) years of related work experience.
- At the discretion of the hiring department, additional education may substitute for experience on a one year for one year basis.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

This position will work primarily on campus, but location may be subject to change based on the need of the department. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
