Offer Description
A person employed as a specialist in environmental research equipment for a definite period of time in the Department of Applied Superconductivity – ZNS at IFJ PAN will be obliged to carry out research in the field of superconductivity and particle accelerators.
The basic tasks of an employed person will include:
- participation in research tasks carried out at the ZNS concerning the manufacturing, measurements and analyses of superconductors;
- participation in research tasks carried out in the ZNS concerning particle accelerators;
- participation in the design, installation and testing of RF components of particle accelerators.

Requirements
- Research Field: Physics
- Education Level: PhD or equivalent
Skills/Qualifications
- PhD degree in physical sciences or in related disciplines: automation, electronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or materials engineering,
- scientific achievements documented by publications in international scientific journals,
- experience in the field of superconductivity,
- experience in working with scientific and research equipment and experimental data analysis,
- ability to work in a team,
- very good knowledge of spoken and written English.
Welcome:
- experience in the design of particle accelerators components;
- experience in the design and testing of accelerator RF cavities;
- experience in the design of high-power solid state amplifiers.

Additional comments
