Offer Description
The competition is open to individuals who meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018, the Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended) and the following eligibility criteria: 1) a postdoctoral degree in medical and health sciences in the discipline of physical education, 2) professional experience in teaching at a university, 3) qualifications as a master-class coach in at least one sport, 4) documented academic achievements, 5) statistical knowledge documented by scientific publications.
For foreign applicants, knowledge of Polish sufficient to teach is required.

Responsibilities:
- 240 hours of teaching in the following fields: Physiotherapy, Physical Education, and National Security, covering the following subjects: Statistics, Statistics in Scientific Research, Research Methodology in Physical Culture, Fundamentals of Statistical Analysis in Medical Sciences, Diploma Seminar: Preparation for the diploma thesis and the diploma examination, Master's Seminar.
- professional development, participation in scientific activities,
- participation in organizational and development work of the Faculty and the University,
- providing substantive supervision of students' theses,
- organizational work for the University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz, including in particular promotional work at the Faculty of Physical Culture and Security Sciences.
Specific Requirements
Employment of an academic teacher in the teaching staff group, based on a fixed-term, full-time employment contract, for the 2026/2027 academic year (from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027).

Eligibility criteria
Candidates entering the competition are required to submit the following documents:
- a job application,
- a declaration of consent to the processing of personal data (Annex 1),
- a personal questionnaire for the person applying for employment (Annex 2),
- a curriculum vitae,
- copies (photocopies) of diplomas confirming education (originals available for inspection before signing the contract),
- documents confirming professional experience,
- documents confirming scientific achievements,
- a declaration of compliance with the requirements of Art. 113 of the Act on Higher Education and Science (Annex 3),
- copies of certificates and additional attestations,
- a statement confirming receipt of information about the internal procedure for reporting violations of law and taking follow-up actions at the University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz (Annex 4).
Documents must be signed personally or accompanied by a certified electronic signature.
Selection process
Documents should be submitted in person or sent to the University's address: Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz, ul. Staszica 1, 33-300 Nowy Sącz, General Secretariat, room 01. The envelope should be marked "Konkurs nr 5 na stanowisko profesora uczelni (k/m) na WKFB" or sent to kadry@ans-ns.edu.pl with the subject line "Konkurs nr 5 na stanowisko profesora uczelni (k/m) na WKFB."
The deadline for submitting documents is September 1, 2026 (the date of receipt of documents at the University's office will be decisive). The competition will be decided by September 8, 2026. Information about the results, along with the justification, will be published in the University's Public Information Bulletin and on the website of the Minister of Science and Higher Education.
Additional comments
The competition committee reserves the right to conduct interviews with those who meet the required qualification criteria. Applications that do not meet the formal requirements or those submitted after the deadline will not be considered. The competition process may be canceled without providing a reason. The competition result does not constitute employment of the candidate; it only serves as a recommendation to the Rector in this regard. The Rector makes the final decision regarding employment.
