Location
Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary
Assists with the management, administration and adjudication of harassment, discrimination, and Title IX and/or sexual misconduct cases. Serves as lead in developing and implementing temporary solutions and measures designed to promote the safety and well-being of the parties and the institution's community. Meets with involved parties to provide information regarding available resources, interim measures and reporting and resolution processes. Develops and conducts prevention and comprehensive training on Title IX and nondiscrimination policies and procedures to students, faculty, and staff.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts investigations, drafts comprehensive written investigation reports, gathers and summarize evidence and conducts credibility analysis
- Utilizes the proper policy and analysis framework, applies relevant University System of Georgia and Kennesaw State University policies and procedures and formulates investigative findings and recommendations
- Develops investigation plans and timelines, identify and interview parties and witnesses, and gather and analyze relevant evidence
- Coordinates the investigative intake process, conducting initial intake interviews, gathering case information, and responding to questions, concerns and/or requests as needed
- Communicates regularly with parties and others while maintaining neutrality, integrity, and confidentiality in the investigation
- Applies subject matter expertise and integrate best practices in investigations by remaining current with relevant laws, changes, policies, procedures, investigative techniques, and trauma-informed investigations with special attention to empathy and sensitivity
- Maintains detailed, accurate, and comprehensive records and notes related to all assigned case investigations
- Facilitates informal resolutions between parties as appropriate
- Works collaboratively with Legal Affairs, Public Safety, Student Affairs, Athletics, Human Resources, and Academic Affairs
- Provides weekly case status updates and regularly brief the Director or designee in regularly scheduled meetings
- Implements temporary measures (i.e., academic or employment arrangements, schedules or supervision, issuance of no contact orders, and other measures) as directed
- Educates and assists students and faculty with implementation of accommodation requests for pregnant and parenting students in accordance with Title IX as directed
- Drafts and disseminates official communication to parties regarding deadlines, procedures, and protocols
- Assists in developing and facilitating discrimination and sexual misconduct prevention training for students, faculty, and staff as directed
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Required Experience
Six (6) years of related work experience

Advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field
Preferred Experience
Experience in higher education, civil rights and/or Title IX investigations
Experience in conflict resolution, mediation, and problem solving
Proposed Salary

Able to understand, analyze, and interpret policies and procedures in accord with University policy and legal requirements, as well as state and federal laws pertaining to sexual violence and sexual harassment, privacy, discrimination, due process, and related fields

KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of compliance and ability to explain policies to students, staff and faculty
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills.
Writing skills to accurately compose correspondence and reports with a high level of attention to detail
Communication skills to listen and speak effectively about sensitive subjects to faculty, students, staff, advisors, and others
Good organization and multi-tasking skills, strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to be flexible and adapt to changing demands
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
