1. Designs, installs, supports and maintains complex LAN/WAN
and/or Wireless networks and network systems.
2. Monitors and analyzes performance, utilization and
availability of LAN/WAN and/or Wireless networks.
3. Identifies, diagnoses and resolves technical problems related
to network failure/integrity and in support of efficient network
operations.
4. Develops, recommends and implements network standards and
policies, monitors compliance with established standards.
5. Evaluates and recommends networking product and software
upgrades and improvements.
6. Compiles performance metrics and provides reports to
management.
7. Consults with and advises Network Operations staff and may
lead technical support staff for assigned projects.
8. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

MQ: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and
practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional
discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional
discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained
through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college
or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training
program that is directly related to the type of work being
performed.
Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related
experience.
