Ethnic Studies Instructor

The Ethnic Studies Instructor must demonstrate a profound understanding of and experience with successfully supporting individuals with varying backgrounds. This includes persons with disabilities, various gender identities, various sexual orientations, individuals from historically underrepresented communities and other groups to ensure the district provides an inclusive educational and employment environment focused on strategies for success and equitable outcomes for all.
Under administrative direction of an educational administrator, the Ethnic Studies Instructor will provide academic instruction to students in a variety of introductory Ethnic Studies courses. The Ethnic Studies Instructor will evaluate students' academic performance in ethnic studies courses, develop culturally responsive curriculum, participate in shared governance and other activities in support of the instructional program, and do related work, as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's in Ethnic Studies OR
Master's in Ethnic Studies OR the equivalent

Knowledge of:
The interdisciplinary study of race, ethnicity, and indigeneity with a focus on the experiences of people of color within and beyond the United States; inclusive and equitable teaching practices, methods, and techniques; culturally-responsive pedagogy/andragogy; and methods to successfully support individuals with varying backgrounds...
Ability to:
Provide interactive lessons... Use a learning management system. Teach online...
Salary:
$66,812.56 - $89,535.23 Annually
